The iHMI is connected to the HEIDI system architecture through DDS (Data Distribution Service), providing fast and reliable real-time communication between driver monitoring, environment perception, decision-making modules, and HMI components. Using a publish-subscribe architecture, information is distributed efficiently and delivered to the iHMI with low latency, supporting timely warnings and context-sensitive driver guidance.
EU-Project HEIDI
Our measurement system enables precise and reproducible determination of the glass-to-glass latency of modern camera systems. It captures the entire signal chain from the camera to the display. The measurement process is fully automated and provides key performance metrics in addition to average latency, including minimum, maximum, standard deviation, and jitter. All measurement data is automatically analyzed and documented in clear, comprehensive reports. This provides developers and system integrators with a solid basis for analyzing, evaluating, and optimizing video systems in industrial automation, robotics, automotive applications, and research.
